La date limite pour les demandes de bourses de l’Union internationale des TUAC, d’une valeur de 8 000 $, a été reportée au 15 avril 2009. De plus, les membres des TUAC Canada, ou leurs personnes à charge, peuvent s’inscrire pour obtenir l’une des 18 bourses Beggs-Dowling-Mathieu — d’une valeur de 1 000 $ chacune. UFCW Canada Delivers Decisive Vote to Andrea Horwath

March 9, 2009 – UFCW Canada delegates to the Ontario New Democratic Party (ONDP) convention in Hamilton played a decisive role in the historic election this past weekend of Hamilton Centre MPP Andrea Horwath as the new leader of the ONDP.  With her victory Horwath becomes the first woman to lead the party in Ontario.

Les TUAC Canada donnent un vote décisif à Andrea Horwath

 Le 7 mars 2009 – Les délégués des TUAC Canada au congrès d’investiture du Nouveau parti démocratique de l’Ontario (NPDO) à Hamilton ont joué un rôle décisif en fin de semaine dernière lors de l’élection historique d’Andrea Horwath, députée d’Hamilton Centre, comme nouvelle chef du NPDO. Lifelong activist John Forster passes away

March 5, 2009 –  Former UFCW Canada national representative John Forster, who retired in 2005, died on March 3 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 66.

“John was always a champion of the workers he represented, from the shop floor on to his work at the national level,” says UFCW Canada National President Wayne Hanley.
