Job Loss Numbers Show Need for Immediate Action

 

Nothing demonstrates the need for immediate action on the economy more than the release of the most recent job numbers from Statistics Canada.  In November over 75,000 Canadians lost their jobs — the majority being full-time jobs according to the Statistics Canada Labour Force Survey.
 
Meanwhile Canada’s Nero, Stephen Harper, sits in his ivory tower to fiddle away for the next seven weeks while this volatile situation continues to ignite and destroy our country.
 
With Harper suspending the actions of Parliament through proroguing until January 26, how many more jobs may be lost by then?  How many more pensioners will see their savings dwindle? How many more people will be forced into poverty?
 Support a Coalition Government
Canadians need a government that will act now.  Harper should unlock the doors of Parliament and take immediate action on the economy.  If Harper is not ready to lead, then those who are should be allowed the opportunity.
 
Waiting is not an option. Canadian workers and pensioners need action now.
