Vancouver – March 28, 2024 – Last year, workers at Vancouver’s Earnest Ice Cream’s Quebec St. and Fraser St. locations took their workplace into their own hands by organizing under UFCW 1518.

International Transgender Day of Visibility

Toronto – March 28, 2024 – International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) occurs every year on March 31st. This day is dedicated to celebrating transgender people, their contributions to society and raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide.

Statement Regarding P.E.I. Sick-Day Legislation – UFCW 864

Charlottetown, P.E.I. – March 27, 2024 – The Prince Edward Island government is granting workers three paid sick-days as of October 1st, 2024. However, UFCW 864 comments that the union is disappointed that this benefit will not be extended to unionized workers.
