Toronto – September 30, 2025 – On September 30, UFCW Canada joins people across the country in observing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This day honours the Survivors of residential schools, their families, and the thousands of Indigenous children who never made it home. It is also a time to reflect on the intergenerational trauma caused by colonial policies and to commit ourselves to the ongoing work of reconciliation.
Waterloo, Ont. – September 25, 2025 – UFCW 175 welcomes the 25 new members who work full-time at Waterloo Heights Senior Apartments who recently voted to join the union.

Toronto – September 24, 2025 – UFCW Canada is standing in solidarity with community partners to demand the federal government protect and strengthen funding for Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE). With reports of potential cuts, UFCW Canada is joining the call led by Queer Momentum and the Enchanté Network, with support from Dignity Network Canada and Pride at Work Canada, to ensure vital investments in equity are not rolled back.
