Toronto – October 21, 2025 – UFCW Canada recently hosted a delegation of officials from the Government of Mexico at its national headquarters in Toronto, as well as at the Agriculture Workers Support Centre in Leamington and various agricultural workplaces in Ontario’s Niagara region. The multi-day visit focused on strengthening the rights and protections of Mexican migrant agricultural workers employed in Canada.
Quebec (Que.) – October 20, 2025 — The United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 501 (UFCW 501), is proud to announce the unanimous ratification of the new collective agreement for members of the Association chasse & pêche Martin-Pêcheur inc. (ZEC Martin-Valin).
Toronto – October 16, 2025 – Workers at the Dufferin Mall H&M store in Toronto, Canada, voted to join UFCW 1006A on October 9. The 25 workers, who made the unanimous decision to join our union, are employed as sales advisors.
Cobourg, Ont. – October 15, 2025 – UFCW 1006A members, who work at Transition House Coalition of Northumberland in Cobourg, Ontario have ratified their first union contract after voting to join UFCW Local 1006A earlier this year.

Toronto – October 14, 2025 – Thousands of migrant food workers, including many UFCW members, were able to obtain permanent residency in Canada under the Agri-Food Pilot Program. Now, with the pilot finished, migrant food workers have very few options to build a life in Canada.
