Cobourg, Ont. – October 15, 2025 – UFCW 1006A members, who work at Transition House Coalition of Northumberland in Cobourg, Ontario have ratified their first union contract after voting to join UFCW Local 1006A earlier this year.
Toronto – October 14, 2025 – Thousands of migrant food workers, including many UFCW members, were able to obtain permanent residency in Canada under the Agri-Food Pilot Program. Now, with the pilot finished, migrant food workers have very few options to build a life in Canada.

Philadelphia, Penn. – October 6, 2025 – UFCW union activists from across the United States and Canada gathered in Philadelphia from October 2-5 to participate in UFCW OUTreach’s first-ever education conference; UFCW OUTreach is the union’s constituency group dedicated to advocating for the union’s 2SLGBTQ+ members and allies. .
