Vancouver, B.C. – November 15, 2025 – UFCW Local 247 members at Real Canadian Wholesale Club locations in BC voted to ratify a new collective agreement.

Toronto – November 12, 2025 – Migrant food workers bring invaluable skills and experience to our food system. Their contributions are irreplaceable, yet their futures remain uncertain due to insufficient support and limited pathways to permanent residency. It is time for a renewed commitment to our food system. We need a Federal inclusive and accessible pathway to permanent residency for all migrant food workers.
Clarkes Beach, N.L. – November 11, 2025 – Members of UFCW Eastern Provinces Council Local 1252 working at Callingwood Downs Senior Complex in Clarkes Beach, N.L. have come to terms on a new agreement bringing in increased wages and time off.
Toronto – November 7, 2025 – Leading representatives from labour, industry and government in the agrifood sector in Canada met in Toronto this week to discuss the future of decent work in the sector in Canada, building upon the model of social dialogue recommended in the International Labour Organization’s (ILO) Decent work guidelines for the agrifood sector.
Oshawa, Ont. – November 7, 2025 – Employees at Kinark Child & Family Services in Oshawa have successfully joined UFCW Locals 175 & 633. The organization, which provides autism, child & youth forensic and mental health services employ consultants and instructor therapists many of whom say they feel overworked and undervalued.
