New webCampus courses for February
Toronto – February 3, 2014 – UFCW Canada’s groundbreaking online education program, webCampus, has launched two new courses for the month of February. The free online courses are being offered from February 3rd to 28th and are available to all UFCW Canada members and their families, as well as our community partners.

Vancouver – January 17, 2014 – The Supreme Court of British Columbia has denied a petition by Mexico to quash documentary evidence and testimony that corroborates that the Mexican government blacklisted Mexican migrant workers from returning to Canada because they were suspected of being union sympathizers. The evidence had been presented in 2012 to the BC Labour Relations Board by UFCW Canada Local 1518.
Ixtepec, Mexico – January 9, 2014 – Every day, the Brothers of the Road hostel opens its door to hundreds of migrants in transit through Ixtepec, Oaxaca, Mexico. Migrant workers from Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Nicaragua arrive on The Beast as the local train is known — jumping off after a hard and gruelling 14-hour passage.
December 19, 2013 – Around this time of year, it's hard not to notice the goodness of people – the high school student holding the door so you can get the stroller through; the person who comes rushing to your rescue in the parking lot with a set of jumper cables; children meeting for the first time while building a snowman at the park; strangers sincerely wishing other strangers good wishes for the season. Altogether, it is a season of sharing goodwill as a caring and diverse community.
