Toronto – October 2, 2024 – October 4 marks a significant day of remembrance and action in Canada: the National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG). This day serves as a solemn reminder of the ongoing violence and systemic injustices faced by Indigenous women and girls across the country.

Leamington, Ont. – June 25, 2024 – UFCW Canada recently hosted informative workshops at the UFCW Canada Agriculture Workers Support Centre in Leamington, Ontario, focusing on workplace rights and 2SLGBTQ+ rights tailored specifically for migrant workers.
Toronto – June 19, 2024 – On June 21, Canadians are called to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, culture and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples on National Indigenous Peoples Day. On this day we celebrate the unique cultures and contributions made by Indigenous peoples on Turtle Island.
Toronto – June 12, 2024 – Happy Pride! As we look to celebrate the diversity of 2SLGBTQ+ UFCW members in pride festivals across the US and Canada, we acknowledge that the first Pride was a protest and that fighting for 2SLGBTQ+ rights is a union value that extends beyond Pride season.
