Toronto – May 13, 2026 – On May 17, the world will mark International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexphobia, and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) — a global moment to stand in solidarity with 2SLGBTQI+ communities and spotlight the urgent need to confront hate and discrimination.
Toronto – March 25, 2026 – March 31st is the International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV). This day is dedicated to celebrating transgender people, their contributions to society and raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide.
Toronto – November 19, 2025 – November 20 marks the Transgender Day of Remembrance — a day to honour the lives of transgender and gender-diverse people lost to violence and discrimination, and to recommit to the ongoing fight for dignity, respect, and equality for all workers.

Toronto – September 24, 2025 – UFCW Canada is standing in solidarity with community partners to demand the federal government protect and strengthen funding for Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE). With reports of potential cuts, UFCW Canada is joining the call led by Queer Momentum and the Enchanté Network, with support from Dignity Network Canada and Pride at Work Canada, to ensure vital investments in equity are not rolled back.
Budapest – July 7, 2025 – On June 28, Budapest Pride marked a historic moment: despite an official ban, surveillance threats, fines, and threats of prosecutions, the streets filled with a record-breaking 200,000 proud and peaceful marchers, including trade unionists.
