Toronto – May 29, 2020 – UFCW Canada is encouraged by the prime minister’s announcement that the federal government will work with the provinces to implement 10 paid sick days for all workers.
Toronto – May 21, 2020 – While Canada is still in the grips of the COVID-19 pandemic, our efforts in physical distancing and other measures have helped slow the spread of the coronavirus, to the point where governments are now looking at slowly reopening parts of the economy.
Toronto – May 11, 2020 – Many in the media and elsewhere have been praising Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ford has certainly outshone most other conservative premiers in Canada, mainly by not being the belligerent bully he was during his first eighteen month as premier. But we can’t forget his government’s reckless actions in the lead up to this pandemic.
Toronto – April 28, 2020 – Earlier this month, U.S. President Donald Trump asked 3M to stop shipping N95 masks to Canada and other countries out of fear that the United States might experience a shortfall in the personal protective equipment.
