Ottawa – June 27, 2013 – A newly released report by the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (CCPA) and Save the Children Canada has found that half of all First Nations children in Canada are living in dire poverty.
Ottawa – June 19, 2013 – The Harper Government’s attack on workers, Bill C-377, is now back for final debate in the Senate. The Senate Committee on Banking, Trade and Commerce tabled the legislation by a vote of 6 to 5 with one Conservative Senator abstaining from the vote.

Ottawa – May 23, 2013 – With every shameful revelation, Canadians are finding out the true depth of the Conservative Senate scandal and the central role of the Stephen Harper government in the growing national embarrassment and disgrace of Parliament that is outraging Canadians of all political stripes.
Toronto – May 22, 2013 – The International Labour Organization (ILO), the United Nations' international body on labour rights, has released a report regarding the application of ILO conventions. It gave the Stephen Harper government and the provincial governments of Alberta and Ontario failing grades with respect to labour rights for agriculture workers.
