Frankfort, Kentucky – February 25, 2015 – UFCW members in the U.S. state of Kentucky are rejoicing after a Republican-backed Work For Less law was defeated by a Kentucky House committee earlier this month.

On November 4, 2008, the day that Barack Obama won the U.S. presidential election, it was an ecstatic moment. The day after his historic victory, I couldn't go anywhere without hearing raving comments from people who never imagined that they would see a Black president in the White House in their lifetime. This sentiment seemed to spread worldwide, from Kenya to Canada.
Toronto – February 5, 2015 – In Canada, the Supreme Court recently affirmed workers' right to strike as essential to meaningful collective bargaining. It is now Canada’s responsibility to support this decision at the international level.
