Toronto – June 27, 2025 – As summer reaches its height, the arrival of the Raspberry Moon (Miskomini Giizis) brings with it teachings of kindness, care, and emotional awareness.This moon is a time of reflection, kindness, and emotional clarity. In Indigenous teachings, the raspberry—with its gentle texture and natural structure—symbolizes the importance of setting healthy boundaries and nurturing respectful relationships within our families and communities.

Equity Grant Recipient: Ashley Baresinkoff and Waceya Métis Society

Langley, B.C. – June 18, 2025 – Ashley Baresinkoff is a proud member of UFCW Local 247, working in the retail grocery sector for more than a decade. She is a member of the UFCW Canada Indigenous Committee and her local union’s Member Engagement Committee. In the fall of 2024, she also became a recipient of the 2024 Equity Grant program under the Community Action stream.
