Black History Month - February
Toronto – January 29, 2015 – Black history month in Canada has a long and ambitious history. The imperative to reflect upon the immense contributions of Africans and people of African heritage, started over 60 years ago in the 1950s in Toronto.


Washington, D.C. – December 18, 2014 – UFCW's LGBTQ constituency group OUTreach held their executive board meeting recently. During the meetings, executive board members discussed a number of topics regarding LGBTQ advocacy.
Toronto – November 24, 2014 – In spirit of solidarity and community development, Filipina/Filipino-Canadian union members and community organizers from the Greater Toronto Area have come together to form the Filipino Workers’ Network.
Ottawa – October 31, 2014 – UFCW Canada leaders and staff from all across Canada recently gathered in Ottawa for a summit focused on diversity and inclusion.
Toronto – October 8, 2014 – World Mental Health Day is annually observed by more than 100 countries every October 10, and was first observed by the World Federation for Mental Health in 1992.
Abbotsford, B.C. – September 1, 2014 – UFCW Canada, the Agriculture Workers Alliance (AWA), and a number of community allies recently hosted a Seasonal Agricultural Worker Health Fair in the agriculture community of Abbotsford, British Columbia.
