UFCW Canada activists from across Eastern Canada joined nearly 1,700 participants in the annual Atlantic Region Light the Night Walk at the Halifax Commons in Halifax to raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC).

Youth activists from UFCW Canada Local Unions across the country recently met in Winnipeg for the second phase of the 2012 Youth Internship Program, which focused on building strength in the retail industry, and followed Phase One where the group met in the Western Region and Ontario.
Walmart workers, with the full encouragement of UFCW members and activists around the world, came out in force on “Black Friday” to make history by leading over 1,000 protests throughout the United States.
