Chicago – August 21, 2013 – The leader of Mexico's National Farm Workers' Confederation (CNC) recently led a delegation to the UFCW 7th Regular Convention in Chicago to discuss the issues of Mexican migrant workers and immigration in Canada and the United States with UFCW brothers and sisters, labour leaders and government officials — including NDP Leader Thomas Mulcair who was a keynote speaker at the convention.

Quebec City – July 26, 2013 – An application for union certification has been filed by UFCW Canada Local 501, after workers at Les Productions Horticoles Demers Inc. indicated their support to bring the union advantage to their workplace. Many of the workers are migrant agriculture workers from Guatemala and Mexico.

Virgil, Ontario – June 16, 2013 – For the second year in a row, migrant agriculture workers, members of Toronto's Jane-Finch community, AWA staff, and SAME activists (Students Against Migrant Exploitation) gathered at the Agriculture Workers Alliance Centre in Virgil, Ontario to celebrate at the Caribbean Workers Welcome Back BBQ.
