Up for Debate challenges political leaders to address women’s rights
UFCW Canada is up for the debate. But what about the leaders of the federal political parties? Women in Canada have questions, and Up for Debate challenges our leaders to answer them.

Montreal – October 23, 2014 – UFCW Canada activists recently joined with hundreds of members of indigenous organizations, community groups and the labour movement for Take Back the Night for Aboriginal Women held at Émilie-Gamelin Park in Montreal.
Toronto – October 16, 2014 – Between October 20th to 24th, the final arguments will be presented at the Human Rights Tribunal regarding the welfare of First Nations Children in Canada.
Toronto – August 6, 2014 - On August 9, 1982, the United Nations Working Group on Indigenous Populations met for the first time. Though the world’s Indigenous nations had suffered centuries of oppression and decimation under European colonization, it would still take the UN General Assembly another 25 years to adopt the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
Toronto – June 11, 2014 – On this 6th anniversary of the National Day of Reconciliation with Aboriginal communities, UFCW Canada activists in Toronto joined social justice advocates across Canada, to walk and send a message calling for an equitable future for First Nations children.
