Victoria, B.C. – October 11, 2017 – UFCW Canada Local 1518 President Ivan Limpright has been appointed as the labour force representative for British Columbia’s newly-established Fair Wages Commission, which is tasked with putting forward a plan to raise the province’s minimum wage to $15 an hour.
Peterborough, Ont. – October 11, 2017 – UFCW Canada Local 175 members working at Minute Maid in Peterborough, Ontario have recently ratified a new four-year agreement that brings improvements to wages, contract language, and more.
Calgary – October 7, 2017 – UFCW Canada Local 401 members working for Compass Group at various Alberta Correctional Services facilities have ratified a new contract.
Toronto – October 6, 2017 – Workers at DEC Fleet Services in Toronto are the newest members of UFCW Canada Local 175 after recently voting to join the union.
