Montreal – November 10, 2017 – UFCW Canada Local 500 activist Rosannie Filato has been elected as the new city councillor for the Montreal borough of Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc Extension after defeating incumbent councillor Elsie Lefebvre in the city’s municipal election, held on November 5.
Washington, D.C. – November 9, 2017 – OUTreach, the UFCW constituency group for LGBTQI2S and allies, is offering four scholarships for UFCW members to attend the 2018 Creating Change Conference in Washington, D.C., scheduled for January 24 – 28, 2018.

Brandon, Man. – November 3, 2017 – UFCW Canada Local 832 members working at the Pepsi plant in Brandon, Manitoba have voted unanimously in favour of a new collective agreement.
