Toronto – February 22, 2023 – Pink Shirt Day is an annual day of observance celebrated internationally and established by the CKNW Kids’ Fund, based out of Burnaby, British Columbia. On the last Wednesday of February, Canadians take a stand for kindness and wear pink shirts to show their support for safe and inclusive schools, workplaces and communities.

Toronto – February 17, 2023 – UFCW 1006A members at TruHarvest are celebrating a first contract victory that comes off the heels of a strong organizing campaign at the meat processing facility a year prior.
Montreal – February 15, 2023 – Last December 14, an application for certification was filled by the United Food and Commercial Workers, Local Union 1991P to represent the Exceldor plant’s quality control workers in Saint-Anselme. In a decision dated on January 19, 2023, the Quebec Administrative Labour Tribunal gave their approval to UFCW Local 1991P.
St. John’s, N.L. – February 14, 2023 – UFCW 1252 member and Centre for Nursing Studies student Emma Diamond is the latest recipient of the BDM scholarship award which she intends to use towards a successful first year of post-secondary education.
Montréal (QC) – February 9, 2023 – UFCW Canada Local 500 is glad to announce that the 307 union members working at the Voilà by IGA centre located in Montreal have ratified a first contract.
