Moncton, N.B. – May 15, 2026 – The 2026 season of the UFCW Canada Young Workers Internship Program (YIP) got underway this spring in Moncton, New Brunswick, bringing together a new group of young activists from across Atlantic Canada for a week of education, collaboration, and leadership development.

Halifax – May 8, 2026 – Aramark workers at Nova Scotia Community College campuses have voted in favour of joining UFCW Local 864.
Toronto – May 7, 2026 - UFCW Canada is proud to endorse Team Unite for election at the upcoming 31st Constitutional Convention of the Canadian Labour Congress, taking place May 11 to 15, 2026.
Toronto – May 6, 2026 – May is Asian Heritage Month in Canada, a time to celebrate the many contributions of Asian Canadians and to reflect on the ongoing work required to build a more just and inclusive society for all workers.
Regina – May 6, 2026 – Last week, dozens of UFCW activists from the Saskatchewan Locals gathered in Regina for a lobby day with the provincial government. On April 28, activists from UFCW Locals 1400, 649 and 248P met with Ministers and MLAs from the Government and Opposition parties to discuss their union’s priorities, including concerns about surveillance pricing in grocery stores.
