Hartland, N.B. – May 12, 2016 – UFCW Canada Local 1288P, the union representing striking members at Covered Bridge Potato Chips in Hartland, New Brunswick, and UFCW Canada’s National Office are calling on activists to support the next phase in the Covered Bridge workers’ struggle for fairness and respect.

Toronto – May 12, 2016 – The International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia (IDAHOT), celebrated each year on May 17, was established in 2005 by the IDAHO Committee to raise awareness among policymakers, opinion leaders, social movements, the public, and the media of the violence and discrimination experienced by LGBTQ people internationally.
Toronto – May 12, 2016 – The release of the Panama Papers and the opening to the public of a searchable database to look up the names and companies in the Panama Papers has further exposed the loopholes and shams that allow the wealthiest to avoid paying their fare share in taxes.
