Montreal – January 26, 2015 – UFCW Canada Local 500 members working at Maxi Mascouche have voted overwhelmingly in favour of a new collective bargaining agreement. The new contract is retroactive to March 12, 2014 and runs until 2018. Workers at the Maxi Mascouch grocery store have been UFCW Canada Local 500 members since 1994.
Toronto – January 24, 2015 – The Alberta Progressive Conservative government has said “NO” to a report recommending Workers Compensation injury coverage for agriculture workers.
Toronto – January 23, 2015 – A new report documents that millions of Canadian workers are juggling the demands of holding down a job, while also having to devote many more hours as informal, unpaid caregivers to an injured or infirm loved one.
