Baie-Comeau, Que. – November 1, 2014 – Workers at Alimentation Jacques Nadeau Inc. (Provigo) in Baie-Comeau, Quebec are the newest members of UFCW Canada Local 503 after voting to join the union earlier this year. An application for certification was filed by the union on August 4 and approved by the Quebec Labour Relations Commission on October 8.
Ottawa – October 31, 2014 – UFCW Canada leaders and staff from all across Canada recently gathered in Ottawa for a summit focused on diversity and inclusion.

At the time, the SAWP was seen as the perfect answer to an agricultural labour shortage in Canada and poverty and rural unemployment in Mexico.
