Montreal – August 2, 2014 – UFCW Canada Local 501 members working at the Sobeys Quebec regional office in Montreal, Quebec recently ratified a new six-year collective agreement. The 140 office workers overwhelmingly voted in favour of their new contract, which creates 16 positions with the oil sector and establishes an in-house mechanism for the posting of 32 other positions.
Vancouver – August 5, 2014 – Members, staff, and officers from UFCW Canada Locals 1518 and 247 were loud and proud the 2014 Vancouver Pride Parade on August 3rd, where UFCW Canada played a leading role as part of the multi-union delegation that participated in the Parade.

Toronto – August 5, 2014 – Continuing a longstanding tradition, UFCW Canada members, activists, and leaders marched and played Mas in this year’s Caribana Parade, a massive cultural celebration that takes place every year along Toronto’s waterfront.
