Quebec City – November 26, 2013 – UFCW Canada Local 509 members at the Coop Saint-Ludger supermarket in Quebec’s Estrie region are excited to have a new collective agreement following a successful ratification vote in October 2013.
Toronto – November 28, 2013 – In 1992, the United Nations proclaimed December 3, as International Day of Persons with Disabilities. It is a day to reflect on what has been achieved and what must still be done to bring full equality and inclusion for community members living with a disability.
Toronto – November 28, 2013 – The International Day of Persons with Disabilities, December 3, aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the rights, dignity and well-being of persons, including children, with disabilities. It also celebrates the benefits to all members of the community when persons with disabilities are included in every aspect of life.
Guerrero, Mexico – November 27, 2013 – Last September, two powerful tropical storms hit the Pacific and Atlantic coast of Mexico, leaving behind an unspeakable amount of destruction. The state of Guerrero was particularly hit. The storms took away 40 years' worth of infrastructure in the region.
