A majority of workers at an H&M store in Mississauga, Ontario have voted "Yes" to UFCW Canada representation. The votes were tallied immediately following a secret ballot certification vote held Thursday, October 6 at the H&M location in the Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga, Ont.
Workers at a Shoppers Drug Mart in Calgary have become the newest members of UFCW Canada Local 401 after a majority of the employees voted to join the union. The certification was issued by the Alberta Labour Relations Board on September 30.
The two dozen members of Team UFCW Canada Local 1400 helped set a new fundraising record at the Second Annual Saskatoon Light the Night Walk, all in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC).
On October 13, UFCW Canada is sponsoring the world premiere of Portrait of Resistance: The Art & Activism of Carole Condé and Karl Beveridge — a documentary about two veteran Toronto artists-activists whose works deliver a political message.
