Montréal (QC) – February 9, 2023 – UFCW Canada Local 500 is glad to announce that the 307 union members working at the Voilà by IGA centre located in Montreal have ratified a first contract.
Montreal – February 15, 2023 – Last December 14, an application for certification was filled by the United Food and Commercial Workers, Local Union 1991P to represent the Exceldor plant’s quality control workers in Saint-Anselme. In a decision dated on January 19, 2023, the Quebec Administrative Labour Tribunal gave their approval to UFCW Local 1991P.
Toronto – February 10, 2023 – Several respected and valued members of the UFCW family have been awarded with the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal. This award is given to Canadians who have made outstanding contributions to their communities.
St. John’s, N.L. – February 14, 2023 – UFCW 1252 member and Centre for Nursing Studies student Emma Diamond is the latest recipient of the BDM scholarship award which she intends to use towards a successful first year of post-secondary education.
