Winnipeg – June 30, 2022 – Budtenders at The Joint Cannabis Shop across nine locations in Winnipeg became the first private-sector cannabis workers to unionize in the province of Manitoba after securing a successful certification vote in late June.
Banff, Alta. – July 4, 2022 – UFCW 401 members at Banff IGA, located in the picturesque Rocky Mountains of Alberta, recently secured a new collective agreement that increases wages and premiums and strengthens contract language.
Calgary – July 5, 2022 – Uber drivers can now access UFCW Canada representation from the Calgary Greenlight Hub, where representatives have been on-site to assist with reactivations and other concerns that workers experience with the app-based company.
Toronto – July 6, 2022 – According to the latest infographic by Statistics Canada, labour shortage trends can be tied to wages deemed acceptable by workers in the respective industry.
