Ottawa – September 23, 2021 – McGill University student and UFCW 175 & 633 member Dona Tu is the latest recipient of UFCW Canada’s BDM Scholarship award, granted annually to members and their family.

Montreal – September 28, 2021 – Last June, the Canadian Parliament passed legislation to create a statutory holiday for federal government employees and federally regulated workplaces to commemorate the tragic fate of residential school victims.
Ottawa – September 24, 2021 – In June of this year, the federal government proclaimed September 30 as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The day calls for recognition and reflection of the ongoing legacy of Canada’s residential school system. As a paid statutory holiday, it covers all federally regulated employees working in the public and private sector.
