National Council reviews union’s response to COVID-19 pandemic
Toronto – November 5, 2020 – UFCW Canada’s national executive board, the National Council, held its bi-annual meeting on November 4 to review the union’s programs and strategies and discuss UFCW’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic over the last eight months.


Ottawa – November 3, 2020 – The recent statement from the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) endorsing the former Minister of Finance, Bill Morneau, for the role of Secretary-General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) “shows absolute contempt for workers, unions, and labour councils,” says Paul Meinema, UFCW Canada National President.
