Toronto – September 24, 2020 – UFCW Canada will once again be commemorating Orange Shirt Day, September 30, with online actions in support of this year’s event. The Orange Shirt Day initiative began in 2013, following the St. Joseph’s Mission Residential School Commemoration held in Williams Lake, B.C.
Toronto – September 23, 2020 – UFCW Local 1006A is proud to welcome workers from the Park Lawn Preschool – Humber Bay Child Care Centre to the union. Twenty-one members make up the newly organized unit and work as Registered Early Childhood Educators, Early Childhood Assistants, and Housekeeper.
