Toronto – March 6, 2020 – UFCW Canada has signed a new agreement with the largest labour organization in Mexico, the Confederation of Workers in Mexico (CATEM), that aims to strengthen the protections of Mexican migrant workers while in Canada.
Calgary – March 7, 2020 – UFCW Local 401 members working at Cargill’s Case Ready plant in Calgary have achieved a new collective agreement that includes wage increases and strong improvements to working conditions affecting nearly 400 members at the beef processing facility.
Toronto – March 9, 2020 – UFCW Canada activists were recently on hand to celebrate Indigenous storytelling and self-determination at an event held by national partner Legal Education Action Fund (LEAF) and allies in celebration of International Women’s Day.
