St. Catharines, Ont. – September 10, 2019 – UFCW Canada has helped a migrant worker from Mexico obtain one of the first open work permits in Ontario after the worker in question experienced abuse from her employer while working at a farm in the Niagara Falls area.
Toronto – September 11, 2019 – UFCW Canada welcomes the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal’s (CHRT) decision to issue a compensation order for children who suffered irreparable harm from the federal government’s discriminatory implementation of Jordan’s Principle.
Vaughan, Ont. – September 10, 2019 – UFCW Local 1006A members working at Swiss Chalet restaurants across Ontario have ratified a new union contract that provides benefit and wage gains and an improved shoe allowance.
