Day of Pink – April 9, 2014
![]() |
International Day against Bullying, Discrimination, Homophobia and Transphobia
Since then, the Day of Pink has spread across the world as a day to celebrate diversity and raise awareness to stop homophobic, transphobic & all forms of bullying in schools, workplaces and the community. Celebrated each year on the second Wednesday of April, it is a day to say "NO" against bullying by wearing something pink .
"By standing together, we all have the power to stop bullying and to change things for the better," says UFCW Canada National President Paul Meinema. "We know the strength that diversity brings to our union and to our country. As activists and as community members, let us proudly show our solidarity on April 9, by wearing pink – and let us carry that commitment throughout the year to end bullying, harassment and discrimination."
