Toronto – May 11, 2013 – Make your mark on May 17 – the International Day Against Homophobia & Transphobia, also known as IDAHOT – by using UFCW Canada’s newest image to help raise awareness about this important day of action.
In addition to making a great profile pic for Facebook and other social media websites, the new IDAHOT image is also freely available as a poster, in both French and English.
The International Day Against Homophobia is held every year on May 17 to raise awareness, take action and engage in dialogue with the media, policymakers, public opinion, and wider civil society about promoting a world of tolerance, respect and freedom regardless of people’s sexual orientation or gender identity.

Between now and May 17, you can also get involved and take action by using the hashtag #may17IDAHOT to tweet against homophobia and transphobia, show solidarity with others taking action, or just express support for the Day.
