UFCW Canada’s Indigenous Committee is a member-led initiative tasked with strengthening relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in our union. The committee aims to bring together First Nation, Métis and Inuit members to share their knowledge, ceremonies and traditions to the benefit of both Indigenous and non-Indigenous members.

The committee also:

• Honours the diversity of Indigenous members and enhance Indigenous representation in bargaining
• Equip Local Unions with tools to fulfill the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) of Canada’s mandate and its Calls to Action
