Retail workers at Woodbridge Chapters build better life – UFCW 1006A
Vaughan, Ont. – September 6, 2024 – UFCW 1006A members at Chapters in Woodbridge have voted to ratify a new union contract.
Highlights include wage increases, improved sick leave, the addition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation to the list of statutory holidays, improved scheduling provisions and more.
“Our negotiating committee worked hard to achieve significant gains for our membership at Chapters,” said UFCW 1006A President Wayne Hanley. “UFCW 1006A is proud of our strong record of helping unionized bookstore workers across Ontario secure improvements and build fairer workplaces.”
