Hospitality members at Comfort Inn Essa secure new contract – UFCW 175 & 633

Barrie, Ont. – August 26, 2024 – UFCW 175 members at the Comfort Inn Essa are celebrating a new contract victory after securing significant gains in their new three-year deal.

Members will see a 3% wage increase retroactive to February 2024, alongside another 3% increase on August 1, 2024 for a total 6% increase in year-one. In year-two and year-three of the contract members will get 2.5% respectively with the night audit premium increasing by 25 cents per hour.

Members will also receive a $50.00 increase to their family health spending account from $200.00 to $250.00, in addition to increases to the boot allowance, an additional floater day, improved holiday language, and more.
