New collective agreement for 7,800 Fortinos workers in Ontario – UFCW 175 & 633
Mississauga, Ont. – July 25, 2024 – UFCW 175 members working at the 26 Fortinos grocery stores in Ontario have ratified a new collective agreement.
On meetings held on July 15-16, 2024, members voted to ratify the new collective agreement, securing wage increases and language improvements.
Highlights include:
- Wage increases for full-time and part-time workers
- Signing bonuses within three weeks of ratification
- Increased optical and paramedical benefits
- Increased safety shoe allowance
- Improved bereavement language
