Members at Aramark Refreshment Services build a better life – UFCW 401
Edmonton – January 11, 2024 – UFCW Canada Local 401 members working at Aramark Refreshment Services based in Edmonton have achieved a new collective agreement that achieves numerous quality of life improvements, wage increases, and more.
The members at Aramark Refreshment Services provide products and services to various businesses including coffee, tea, filtered water, vending and snack options. The agreement also covers members in the warehouse, service personnel, route drivers, and office staff.
Highlights of the new agreement include wage increases in each year of the contract amounting to 13.5% throughout the life of the deal and the introduction of a new Health Spending Account in addition to pre-existing benefits as well as increases to prescription eyeglass coverage, and uniform care.
Another highlight of the new agreement includes enhanced vacation entitlement providing members with more earned vacation sooner.
