Ottawa, Ont. – August 24, 2023 – UFCW 387W members at the PepsiCo Canada facility in Ottawa have ratified a new collective agreement that provides wage increases, market wage adjustments, and more.
The 125 members at the Pepsico Ottawa facility voted to ratify the new four-year contract on August 16.
“We’re really proud of the negotiating committee,” says UFCW 387W President Joe Tenn. “It was a tough set of bargaining, but the committee stayed strong and unified during the process and brought back the best possible deal for the members, who responded with a yes vote.”
Highlights of the new contract include wage increases to all classifications, lead hand increases, and night shift and premium increases. In addition, the negotiation committee was also successful in bargaining a market wage adjustment: delivery drivers and service department employees will receive an additional $1.11 per hour at the rate of ratification.
In addition, tool allowances and boot allowances were increased, pension benefits were increased, and new hire language was improved.
