East Ferris, Ont. – July 28, 2023 – UFCW 175 members at the Corporation of the Municipality of East Ferris have ratified a new three-agreement, securing significant wage increases and cost of living adjustments.

Members will receive 21% over 3.5 years starting with a 12% increase for all classifications at date of ratification. Increases are subject to a new Cost of Living Adjustment, which could result in further gains of up to 2% per year based on inflation.

Other improvements include vacation entitlement increases, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation added to the list of holidays, improved bereavement policy and more.

The municipality of East Ferris is a rural, residential community located to the east of North Bay in Northeastern Ontario.
