Vancouver – May 26, 2023 – UFCW 1518 members at IGA #11 are celebrating a new contract victory that helps to address affordability issues for the downtown Vancouver workers.

The new contract includes wage increases over three years with a significant boost to the start rate aimed at improving recruitment and staffing at the downtown grocery store.

Members will also see a shortened timeline to top-rate from six years to four years with the new contract, in addition to improved sick days and the inclusion of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as a statutory holiday.
