Food manufacturing members at Pepsico Beverages secure new contract – UFCW 1288P
Moncton, N.B. – April 14, 2023 – UFCW 1288P members working at Pepsico Beverages across five New Brunswick locations (Moncton, Saint John, Fredericton, Grand Falls and Bathurst) recently secured a new collective agreement that improves wages, sick leave, contract language and more.
Members made important improvements to contract language in this new collective agreement including strengthening anti-discrimination language to include gender expression and identity, in addition to new articles that support leaves for victims of domestic violence, intimate partner violence or sexual violence.
Bargaining committee members also achieved important improvements for part-time members that allow for easier entry to full-time employment, strengthened over-time language, access to bereavement leave and adds $3.70 to wages over four years.
Full-time members will also see wages increase at $3.70 over four years, in addition to a reduction in length service to reach top-rate in the wage progression. Boot allowance, new hire sick leave and access to apprenticeship training programs are also included in the new contract.
