Winnipeg, Manitoba – March 1, 2023 – Sean Champion-Taylor is a UFCW 832 member in Manitoba and works in the grocery retail sector, and UFCW Canada Equity Grant recipient. He used his equity grant to help fund Rivercity Neurocast, a unique podcast about neurodivergence in Manitoba.
Sean was inspired to create this podcast based on his own experiences as a neurodivergent youth and adult in Manitoba, and wanted to create the opportunity to bring communities together. “We don't try to understand [autistic youth] or we don't try to understand what autistic adults have to say about the next generation of autistic youth as well,” say Sean. “So I put together a podcast where autistic adults and ADHD adults have conversations.”
“It occurred to me that my own narrative in my life would resonate with other people,” says Sean. “That's why it's important to have incentive for entrepreneurs like myself and the UFCW Grant helped me get incentive to build this podcast on the way.”
You can listen to Episode 1 of the Rivercity Neurocast here.
