Warehousing members at Core-Mark secure new contract – UFCW 401
Calgary – January 26, 2023 – UFCW 401 members at Core-Mark facilities in Calgary and Edmonton showed perseverance and resolve in securing a new collective agreement, pushing the company to do better after rejecting its initial offer and mulling a strike vote.
Members ratified an improved offer that will be applied retroactive to August 2021 and will see them receive a $2,000 lump sum payment to along with wage increases of 2.65 percent in year two, and 3 percent in year three of the new collective agreement.
Premiums for lead-hands, shippers, receivers, dry room, freezer room and loaders are increased in the new contract alongside a host of other provisions that improve vacation scheduling, bereavement leave, unpaid leave, RRSP contributions, overtime and more.
