Food processing members at Riviana ratify new contract – UFCW 1518
Delta, B.C. – November 21, 2022 – UFCW 1518 members at Riviana Foods recently secured a new collective agreement that increases wages, vacation and more.
Members forced management’s hand returning a strike vote 100% in favour of job action which was enough to bring the company back to the table with an improved offer.
The new contract sees wage increases in each year of the contract, an added week of vacation for the most senior members, an added stat day for Truth and Reconciliation Day, in addition to improved job posting provisions and eyeglass coverage.
