Food service members at Aramark secure new contract – UFCW 401
Red Deer, Alta. – September 1, 2022 – UFCW 401 members at Aramark – Bethany CollegeSide Long-Term Care recently secured a new four-year collective agreement that increases wages, shift premiums and more.
“Though not all of our proposals were approved, we gained significant enhancements with this new collective agreement,” says Negotiating Committee member Jodi Crozier. “We got the financial improvements we were looking for and the knowledge and experience of our negotiators got members what they wanted most.”
Members will see a 10 percent increase to wages over four years beginning with 3 percent in Year One, 2 per cent in Year Two, 2 percent in Year Three and 3 percent in Year Four. The new contract also introduces evening and weekend shift premiums, footwear allowance and language that strengthens union security and representation.
